Warning Date: 11:06 am EST on January 27, 2012

WarningSum:...Strong Westerly Winds Through Mid Afternoon...

Warning Message:West winds will continue to increase into this afternoon as the
gradient between deepening low pressure off the mid Atlantic
coast and high pressure building in from the west tightens. This
may produce brief wind gusts to 45 or 50 mph across the higher
elevations especially along the Blue Ridge. The winds should start
to diminish after 3 PM as the main surge of stronger speeds exits
behind the passing cold front from earlier today.
